Default Poison Spyder Bumpers

Hey guys,

I'm looking into getting the poison spider bumpers but can believe they don't offer them finished. Has anyone bought their stuff and which route did you take to finish them ? Powdercoat, paint etc. Not sure which route to take.

Everyone buys their stuff. You can powdercoat but I'd advise against if you wheel often. Paint works great and is super easy to touch up.

I would raptor line them if I was to do it again. Powder coat was expensive and not a do-it yourself touch up. Raptor lined my wheel wells and fender liners and it has been holding up well.

Yeah I think I may go the paint route now that I've done some research. Easier to touch up. Any recommendations on certain paint types or brands that would work well. I'm guessing I'll still need to do some sanding and add primer before painting to get the best finish.

Shouldn't have to sand anything, just wipe down with some mineral spirits, few coats of self-etching primer and your choice of paint or bed liner. I'm partial to Rustoleum bed liner, it's goes on even and only has a slight texture to it.

um you might want to call them. I just saw a new coating that they provide now on selected parts. Worth checking out..I installed a brawler light front bumper few months back and painted it myself , came out nice Click image for larger version

I epoxy primed mine then had them Line-Xed. Highly recommend this. They're bulletproof now

I took mine to powder coat shop. They zinc coated them first and then the black powder coat. I think they look great.

Painted mine using satin black rust-o-leum, came out great and easy to touch up when scratched. I also sanded/ground off all sharp edges around laser cut edges. Turned out nice!!
