I hit a deer in Texas with my ARB equipped Land Rover, and zero damage to the bumper. Like I posted earlier in the thread, the only negative comment I have about the ARB is it's weight. But like Benchmark Designs posted above, they were designed in Australia to take on kangaroo strikes.

Between the two I vote for RR as a stubby without the ends. I don't like heavy full width bumpers. And you can't beat the price of RR.

Wow! Thanks for all of the responses guys. You're making this really hard for me! I know I said it was between the two but after talking to the Northridge guys I'm kinda leaning toward the LoD mid-width. Ohhh boy... This sucks! I just want to make sure I buy one front bumper and not hate it in a year...

I like the RR. I have it with the end caps right now. Whenever I get a lift and larger tires I can just take off the ends and make it a stubby. I also like the fact that you can bolt on different accessories so if you get tired of a certain look it can be modified in an hour and look completely different without having to actually buy another bumper.

It is also very sturdy!

ruggid ridge all the way it's awesome how many ways you can set it up it's heavey duty, but not to heavey to mount yourself and best of all it's cheaper

Love my RR stubby, super versatile and looks great for the $$. The ARB is nice as well, but very pricey. Can't go wrong with either if you wanna go with a full width

The XHD it is! I just placed my order today.

Rugged Ridge 11540.10 Textured Black Front Bumper Base with Winch Mount
Rugged Ridge 11540.14 Textured Black Hoop Over-Rider for Front XHD Bumper Base
Jeep Wrangler JK XHD Front Bumper Storage Ends
KC Hilites 7316 black Light Mounting Brackets for Jeep JK Wrangler
KC HiLiTES 124 SlimLite Black 100-Watt Driving Light System

This will be my first real mod. I'll post pics when it's done. Thanks for all of the great responses and I will be asking again when it is time to put the winch in!
