Default polyurethane or metal spacers?

Hello i am currently looking at a couple of 2" - 2.5" BB lift kits. Some of the sping spacers are metal and some are ployurethane. Anyone have any bad experiences with either. I am just trying to get some 35s under my rubi for now without spending too much. I have bigger plans in the future , but I dont want to make any major moves until I find out whats going on with a few products. Namely Purejeeps tubefenders, i have emailed those guys several times to inquire and they will not even reply. im gonna start to mess around in the shop with some tubing and see what comes of it. Ill post pics.
