Default Popping in frontend?

I have the RK max travel kit with 315/75 duratracs. Recently I started to get a popping sounds or a clunk in the frontend. Could it be the factory upper control arms. Also my disconnects make a lot of noise. Anyone have any solutions

How long have you had the lift? Sound may be coming from the tracbar or the joints on the control arms. I know the ends on my disconnects make noise when they are not tight. I have had mine for a little over 3 years and they are worn out.

Does it happen when you start to accelerate from a stop or is it constant at certain speeds?

Have a buddy rock the jeep forward/back while you look underneath. Should find it pretty quickly if it's a CA mount, Trackbar, or even driveshaft issue.

I had a similar problem. It was just a loose bolt on the sway bar.

I've had the lift for about ten months now. The longer I have had it the louder and rougher the ride is getting. Wish I would gotten the X factor kit instead.

Just like everyone else recommended, do a quick re-torque of everything if you can't find it first and I'd bet that would take care of it.

I'm on my 3rd RK kit and that is the only time I'll get a clunk if I come off the trail and something isn't to torque. Check your sway bar links and CAs, that was the culprit on mine last time I had the same issue. The CAs have a heavy torque...

As far as your links being loud, are you using the quick disconnect pins or the wing nuts to secure them?

I've always had a bit of rattling using the little quick disco cotter pins but if you use the wing nuts and have them tight, should be dead quiet...

I'll bet it's the sway bar links, mine was doing the same thing. Have a bud sit under the jeep while you bounce the front end up and down, you'll probably see movement in the bolts.

I get a clunk as well on the Metalcloak 3.5 lift, but I'm not saying it's the lift. I've re-torqued the CA's but now that someone pointed out the swaybars I'll check that too. I also re-torqued the track bar as well.

For what it's worth, I only get it when I turn and in motion, but ALWAYS get it when backing out of my garage. Turning onto the street and coming off the slanted part just before hitting the front end touches the street while the wheels are turned is when I hear and feel it.
