I just moved my license plate from the corner, under the tail light, to centering it in the spare tire. Love it, can't wait to show it off, only problem is I'm really OCD and the license plate is crooked (as a result of the lug nut bolts being off centered). I am running the stock spare tire carrier (prefer not to purchase a new carrier). Any way to fix this?

Mark how far you want the rim turned in the tire and have the tire re-mounted and re-balanced?

Drill a lower new hole in the license plate? Or is that considered destruction of government property or something...

No it's not the license plate, it's the 3 lug nut bolts that are in a weird angle on the carrier so it puts the rim off centered (which caused the license plate to be slanted)

The license plate mount is made by Warrior. I promise that the license plate mount is not the problem

I get that, just trying to think of a solution and wondered what mount.

The two logical options would be to drill new holes on the mount so that it sits straight on the not so straight wheel studs. Or, if I recall, the outer part slides onto a round mount and you insert a pin. If so, drill a new hole with it rotated straight.

If it were me, I'd cut the mount right at the plate that the studs go through and weld it back on so it's straight. Would take maybe 3-5 minutes and a shot of paint.

Sounds like it would work great but I don't have any welding tools. I like the idea though, I'll look into it!

How are the "lug nut bolts" off center with the stock carrier? Are you running a spacer on the mount?
