Potential Problems with Suspension Lift?
I just want to emphasize that the problems being explained in this thread about a 4" vs a 2.5" lift are related to highway usage just as much as off-road. In fact, perhaps even more so because of the higher speeds involved.
yeah that damn black bear is just the worst choice they could have come up with to replace colonel rebel. oh well, life does go on and i can just put my frustration about it into something productive, such as-fixing up my jeep. haha
again, thanks for all of your inputs and i guess i will be putting alot more money into my ride than i thought.

Actually, with the suggestion of a 2.5" coil lift, you (OP) will likely be saving money over time from the 4" lift, and still be able to run 35's. Your OP was about potential problems, and a very good suggestion was made for avoiding many of those problems in the future.
I also just purchased a 4" stage 1 lift from procomp, 35's and 17" rims from the procomp booth at the 4wheel parts show. All with free install. I wanted the 2.5" but was talked into buying the 4" ( mostly by my wife) she wants the extra 1.5" ( insert joke here) after reading this im goin to be canceling the lift and goin with a 2.5" thanks to the OPer for having my problem before me. My question is how much height will i loose having a hard top 4door with after market bumpers and side steps? And should i put spacers in as well to compansate. Oh ya mostly daily driver

now I have to have them welded back to normal.. or just buy a long arm kit
