Default Powder coat my wheels?

Me AGAIN,

Trends come and go. Black wheels are what's in...but for how much longer?

have 18" spyderlocks. Should I powder coat them black or leave them alone? They look damn sexy in bare aluminum...but black wheels look hot!

Nothing wrong with that. I've been considering painting, easy to touch up and looks as good as power coating. IMO. Mine are always getting scratched up so painting them would be best for me. Did you remove the tires or just mask everything? Yours look great.

I masked the rubber and took the wheels off one by one.

What kind of prep work did you have to do to the rims?

I cleaned them really well and scuffed them up with steel wool.

Was it hard, mentally, to put that first piece of sandpaper on the wheels. I painted a set of older YJ wheels, but never anything so new. You're brave. I need to get that way.
