Default powder coated shackles

Anybody have them first of all? Does the powder coating stand up on the shackles?

Most importantly for me, does anybody have a source? I'd rather find a place that sells them in a few different colors than buy shackles and take them to powder coating myself! I guess I need 3/4" size. My bumper should be here tomorrow!

TIA

Yeah, I had forgotten about that. I remember now when I was looking at their front bumper, but I don't wanna wait 6-8 weeks!

I doubt their shackles take that long. Why not just rattle can some? Then you could touch them up real easy.

Or you can buy your own powdercoating system for around a $100.00 from Harbor freight and then cook them in your oven. then you can powdercoat all the small things that will fit in your oven yourself. The paint is electrostatically charged to the part and then cooked in an oven. It is quite easy but if you have a wife or Girlfriend they could get upset lol... as for us guys we now have a use for the ovens..... HAHAHAHA

I know there's a powder coating place in Auburn, I'm away so I can't look it up right now. There's got to be one close to you.

Most powder coaters have a minimum charge so you will probably be better off buying them done like you planned.

Be great to get some buddys together and do a group thing at the powder coater then you get cheap and whatever you want as far as color

Guys, I was just kidding about the wait time!

I'm going to check out Tractor Supply, I really wanted a blueish color which is gonna be hard to find already done. If I wanted black, I would order the Shrockworks. I'd love to buy my own easy bake oven, but I don't even have room in this small CA home with no garage to store my wife's clothing!

Now that there is an understanding wife: "I'm sorry we don't have an oven, dear, and I'm sorry you can't bring your clothes into the house, but I've got to have some place to keep the Jeep parts until we can afford a home with a garage!"
