Default Powertrax No-Slip Install

Anybody installed a Powertrax No-Slip Locker in an open Dana 44 30-spline? I tried to install one yesterday, with someone who has rebuilt many differentials, and can't get it to fit togheter right. We get it all in, but there is too much of gap between the 2 drivers. The check springs look like they will fall out as soon as it starts turning. Everything I've found on the internet for installs looks like what we did and everybody had no problems. Starting to think maybe I have the wrong part in the box. The P/N on the box is correct for my Jeep.
Just wondering if anybody else put one in and had any issues or words of wisdom. I plan to call Richmond Gear tomorrow.
Thanks
