As far as I can tell this just replaces the track bar in function and does a better job because it keeps the axle centered as the axle moves up and down. But it has more moving parts and fixes a problem I never knew was really a problem?

Also, wouldn't the benefit be better realized if it was a front and rear set up instead of a rear only?

You would have really bad bump steer if it was on the front.

In a way it is better ground clearance since you are eliminating some of the stuff that the axle can snag on, thus giving you more clearance. But if it moved the shock mounts then it would really give you more clearance.
