Arrow PRESS RELEASE - Off Road Evolution Front Lower Control Arm Skids

In addition to bending the passenger side C on my front axle, playing hard on the rocks had also placed enough stress on my lower control arm axle mounts that signs of cracking could be seen. Need I say, while I was there to get a set of Off Road Evolution C2 Front Axle Gussets installed, I decided to have my flanges reinforced and beefed up with a set of Off Road Evolution Front Lower Control Arm Skids.

Available for only $34.99, the Off Road Evolution EVO Front Lower Control Arm Skids are constructed out of 3/16″laser cut steel, CNC bent, are designed to offer maximum protection to your lower control arm mounts and made specifically to fit the passenger side and driver side axle mounts separately to insure a clean factory like finish. These skids do require some welding but any certified welder should be able to install these in under an hour and for cheap.

If you would like to purchase a set for your JK, they can be bought at either:

I have just ordered the C gussets and the control arm skids.

Question - Once installed, do the control arm skids still allow the control arm to be lowered out of the axle bracket without having to remove the rear bolt. It is just hard to see from the pictures if it will allow the arm to drop down - just incase castor adjustments or service to the arm is necessary.
