Default Pricing advice on Open Country MT

Finally bitting the bullet and getting new tires. Prefer to purchase local so drove around today receiving tire quotes. Originally set out to purchase coopers, looking for a 34 by the way. These are the best prices i have found.
Toyo open country - 295/70r17 - $1753.89
Cooper STT - 295/70r17 - $1935
BFG KM2 - 305/70r17 - $2097

Never thought the Toyo's would be the best price. these prices are 5 tires including mount and balance.

My questions is this a reasonable price for Toyo and are they of similar quality to bfg? Need some confirmation on whether I'm receiving a good quote. other then toyos everything else is threw the roof price wise. I originally strayed away because of weight, not regearing.

Can find 295/70/17 Toyo much cheaper than 350 a tire. I see 265 per tire, I'm sure mounting and balancing never cost $85 per tire. But guessing with shipping and mounting we would get to the 350 per tire they are charging.

The Toyo's seem to be going for a good price these days. I just bought 37/13.5-17's for $333 each so I would think you could get the 295/70's cheaper. I see them for $265 each where I bought mine, that's a online wharehouse that is local to me here in Atlanta.

You can go way cheaper than that I got 285/70/17 Trail Grapplers for 250 each from a small local wheels/tires shop that gets 'em from a wholesaler in ATL. Thats mounted btw.

Been doing research on tire pricing online and can save a few hundred going this direction. Thanks for the quick posts before I ordered.

In the process of doing more research I ran across the toyo 285/75r17, 34.1" tall and 11.6" wide at 2 pounds less then the 295. Searched and not a lot of people run this size. Pics greatly appreciated if anyone has them.

Just bought Nitto Trail Grapplers for a TJ for 265 each. Checked they have same in the size you are looking at for $297 each and the Coopers for $323. Free shipping and no tax. Ordered mine on Friday afternoon and they will deliver Tuesday. I don't think they are a sponsor but look online for tires at a "discount".
