Default Pro Comp 8179 vs 7189

I have 33in toyos on 16" and I need a set of new rims that will fit on my jk. Those rims and tires fit on the '05 I had before my jk.

I am debating between these two pro comp rims

7189s

or

8179s

They are both the same price, so that does come into play.

also here is an image I found of each of the rims on jks

7189

8179

Please post any pics of jeeps with either of those rims!
Thanks!

I voted 7189 because I think the spokes look better than the "holes". I will say, though, the pic of the jeep with the 8179 makes them look much better than the stock photo you posted. I still prefer the spokes though....

I voted 7189. Mine are 16x8.

I originally wanted 7089, but ended up with 7189 due to availability and my lack of patients. I'm glad I have the machined lip. After one day of rock crawl'n, I scuffed the lip pretty bad. Can't tell unless you're up close.

Good luck with the decision.

Pretty torn on that one. There both a good rugged good lookn wheel. Not really sure out of the two I would rather have

I just tied the vote up! I voted for the 8179's. Should be a little easier to clean. Plus I just ordered the all black 8069 in 15x10. I don't think either one is a bad choice.

Pretty close, but I like the 8179's a bit more.
