Default Pro Comp Extreme AT Tires ???

Are the Pro Comp Extreme AT tires as good as the advertisements? Can someone who has them give a real review on how they perform, preferably a review of how they do in the Arizona desert.

Are they as quiet on the highway as a BFG all terrain?

Rizzorizo has a set and so far as I could tell, they worked great on the trail and seemed to be very quiet on pavement.

Default tires

Unless I missed it the Jeep review article is just for the basic AT tires.

It is the Extreme AT tires that I would like more info on.

Thanks Wayoflife for your reply

I'm running those tires now (in 35s). They work very well off road. On road the noise is better then the Cooper STTs I had on my Liberty. They do have a stiff side wall so you need to run between 26 and 28 psi on the road or they are a bit harsh on bumps.

Here's a pic

We have a set (P315/70R-16) that will eventually end up on the JK... We used them on our ZJ for a season then pulled them to go to something bigger and more agressive ( to fit the new look and intended use of the ZJ). While on the the ZJ we were very happy with the performance both on and off the pavement. For an all terrain they are quite aggressive. For a unit that will see double duty as a daily driver/weekend warrior they are a great tire. Very happy and look forward to getting them on the new jeep...

PROS:
- Quiet
- excellent in snow
- good sidewall strength
- directional tread pattern

CONS:
- more expensive than run of the mill ATs
- directional tread pattern (tough to rotate the spare in)
