Default Pro Comp Lift

So here's my story.. I just bought a four door jk and want to lift it asap.. I am looking into the Pro Comp 4" lift.. Can anyone tell me what they think of this lift? This is my 4WD vehicle and its too short, but I have never lifted anything before. So I am just tryin to get some feedback!

It has 18's on it now but I think I am going to go to 17's with 35's.. I have got some opinions from some guys that I know.. But I just thought I would post it up here and see what other jeep owners think! Is this a good match with the 4" lift?

You'll get about 1000 different opinions on lifts. What are you going to be doing with your Jeep? Rock Crawling, mild off roading like forrest trails, ? It might be easier to recommend something if we knew what you were going to use it for. If you want to put 35's on for cosmetic reasons, I would suggest the 2.5" Teraflex Budget Boost. How much are you looking to spend on your lift?

Pretty mild off roading.. It is easy to take my brothers old beat up jeep out into whatever.. But Right now I am still opening up to the idea of taking mine out, everytime we go out somewhere I push it just a little further, but it's still shiny, new and expensive for a little college girl like myselff, So I am doin my best to keep it in good shape.. But I like big, I am definitely a girl that likes it bigger I found a pro comp lift kit for, I think, $900...

I am trying to go bigger and make it look better, yet at the same time tryin to watch the money as best as I can.. If you have any other ideas feel free to throw them out there, it never hurts for me to know a little more! Especially what kind of tires you recommend?

i would say go with the full traction economy kit...you can get great performance offroad, and it is easily upgraded. if you are looking to spend around a grand than go with the performance kit to get the extra goodies. talk to David at northridge4x4. he will answer any questions and get you going in the right direction

Many people know, I'm a big fan of Fulltraction. Thats what I would buy.

4wdh is running the 4" kit on the giveaway JK. It did extremely well in Moab..

I'm just not a big fan of the big coil spacers.

I got my Pro Comp 4" Stage II kit and 35x12.50-17's installed today. I've put about 100 miles on it and I really like the on road ride. I'll save the verdict until I wheel it some.

Thumbs up ProComp

I've had the ProComp 4"/2" on for a few weeks now, love it both on road and wheeling!! The Jeep rides pretty level now and does not dive when braking anymore, Off road it's a 100% difference over the stock set-up, it can be driven much harder now on the fast stuff without bottoming and the clearance when crawling is night and day too! I got mine for $600.00 out the door and it took a friend and I about 5 hours to install, taking our time and being very cautious. I have had no problems at all including sway bar e-disconnect, lift noise or anything. 35's on the way soon!

I really like the rectangular design of their replacement arms. They look like you could drag them over rocks all day long and they wouldn't bend a bit. Anyone install these and what did you think? Only downside I could see is they are a fixed length with no adjustment.

see if you can deal, i got the pro comp stage 1 with mx-6's for around 600. gave some extra money for adj track bars, which you are gonna need. the 4" full spring kit not the 4/2 spring/spacer kit. also it is more like 4/3" so it levels out the front. the springs are great, def get the mx-6s. in the future think adj control arms to get your angles right. overall it is a pretty good starter kit, if you are going to piece it together. i am not to sold on the stage II yet. my control arms are gonna be currie.
