Thanks for the help in posting pictures. Someday I'll learn how to do that. It appears that between those 2 wheels, the 7028 is the winner. And, I do like these wheels.

Have these wheels been released yet?

can anyone answer if the ring comes off or not? I would love the silver ring on the flat black instead of gloss

That's what I am talking about.

I doubt they are removable because if they where I am sure they would advertise them seperately.

I've also asked the following question a few times in another thread... DO THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS FIT IN THESE WHEELS????

I guess my answer was with my wallet: I have the 7089s being installed Monday. Why? I had looked at the various "fake" beadlocks but I have this thing about fake stuff. I hate it. Can't stand it. Fake wood trim. Fake chrome. Fake hood scoops (which is wny I made the hood scoop on my Trans Am work). You get the idea.

Having said that, let me also say that those are some sharp looking wheels. Almost enough to make me adjust my stance on fake stuff. But not quite.

I like the 7028. I've been trying to decide on which black rim to go with for a while now and I like these better than anything else that I've seen. I was thinking about Cragar steel wheels but after comments about how heavy they are and how much they decrease gas mileage I decided to stick with an alloy.

I don't think that these are out and shipping yet however.

I want a set of these with some 33" KM2s mounted on them.

I really like the 7028! I have the 8179 like many here because they were some of the first wheels to offer the bolt pattern and the right backspacing. Nice wheels and either one of those choices would look good.

nope, the rims all one piece.... the bolts just thread into the rim. I dont like fake bead locks either, but these look very real. Everyone that seems them ask if they are or not.

have some 8089's you can spray black and save the cash

I just received an e-mail from 4wd saying the 7028s wouldn't be released until late March. Oh well, I've waited this long..........By that time, there'll probably be something else out.

I like both choices and ended up going with 7189 b/c I wanted the silver ring to break up the entire blacked out look. I'm very happy with the results.
