Default Probably a stupid question

 I purchased a set of mopar tow hooks to use with my stock bumper until I can decide /afford the one I want to use. When I tried to install them I found I am having a great deal of difficulty getting those @##$%! little screws to come out of the plastic around the grill and the plastic fillers around the bumper. Is there a trick to getting them out without damaging the parts?

Take a small screwdriver and pry up on screws as you loosen , then just pull up on them.

Try turning them with as little down pressure as possible and hope they back out, if not, try what Torn said and if all else fails, run a screw down into the "rivet" part so that you can pull it out.

And Remember.............there are no stupid questions...........................only stupid people.

J/K.............. those things are a PITA.

Not a stupid question at all. I ended up using a flathead screw driver and pryed them off as shown below...

Hand turn a drywall type screw into the top of the center insert and pull straight out.

I hate those things...you have to grab them from the backside(ancor side) squeese and turn the pliliphs...it only takes a second when you realize how they work...by grabbing the ancor...and squeezing...the plastic screw will bite...and turn out...on the two inside ones, losing interest, i simplely cut the plastic screws with dikes...
