Thanks for the replies, I thought about moving the hoop to face backwards, but I actually like it better facing forward... so I ended up slightly modifying the solenoid bracket, it sits at a slight tilt, bit the remote plugs in well.

I also made a temporary cover out of an old haircutting bib and some straps, lol, works until I either buy one or custom sew one.

another way to fix that is to just get rid of the remote and put some switches inside to operate it anyway

Xerofall, how about moving the solenoid box? I have the xrc10 and the RR bumper (no hoop) I put mine behind the grill then ran the remote into the glove box.

I never noticed that the hook up was in a differnt location. I tried mounting the box on top, but it put pressure on the grill. I have the pre runner loop so it did not interfer with it mounted on top of the motor.
Take the rollers off of the fairlead, and hit the mount with some duplicolor bedliner, looks great on the bumper

Smittybilt replied to my email... they told me they no longer offer the older style and suggested I drill a hole someplace else and relocate the plug.

I think it'll be okay where it is now... I kind of like the idea of relocating it, but that'll have to wait for later.

Got any pics of how you mounted the solenoid?
I'm planning to do that exact setup with the xrc10 and the RR bumper.
Thanks!

I had same problem with my RR bumper so I just put the hoop leaning to the back and it looks fine.

I have to get back in there one of these days to cinch up the wiring, I'll take some pics when I take the grill off again. If you search around, there are a couple of different ways people have done it, using modded brackets. Mine took me like 10 min using some steel zip-ties I found at home depot for about 6 bucks. I've been running it for 3 months with no porb. It doesn't budge

You may want to call them. Took them forever to answer my email about their bumper.
