Default Problems with 3" Lifts????

OK,
Im looking at getting a 3" lift for my 4-door JK. Going this route as it is much cheaper than most kits (around $600.00). Not set on a brand just yet, but thinking something like the Fabtech 3" Basic lift.

Are there any problems people are finding with the kits?.....I don't want to buy the kit to save money only to have to drop another grand to fix what breaks or whats wrong.

What other parts should I consider with one of these kits?.....just suspension wise.....I know gears would be down the road.

Thanks guys, I'm new to the whole lifting thing. Im more familiar with lowering sports cars and going fast, gotta change my direction here and I'm totally lost

I picked up some front adjustable upper and lower control arms from Full Traction. That'll allow you to re-calibrate your front axle and possibly not throw off your computers. I also intend to weld the rear bracket for the track bar, people have started to notice that that's the Achilles heel of most kit setups.

Two issues with a JK Unlimited with auto tranny. Rubbing of front drive line against the transmission pan.
Second, is lift kit's track bar drop down bracket. Get an adjustable track bar.

Ok, thanks.
And then would this be fixed if I stepped up and got a better lift kit?......like is there a 4" kit that includes all of that?

I really dont need an extreme kit. Its a daily driver that i want to look good and still be able to go muddin in or do some minor wheelin in. Looking to fit 35's, so i really dont need a 5" or up lift. I think 4" is about how high I would go. I also dont want to drop 3k on a lift. I thought these 3" ($600-800) kits were perfect.

There are kits out there with adjustable track bars. I'm happy with mine and haven't had any problems. Good luck.
