Default Problems with LOD Skidplate

I installed my new LOD mid width last weekend and am loving it. Just installed the winch today and tried to install the skid plate at the end of the day but ran into a problem. The holes line up with cross bar on the driver side but there is no hole in the crossbar on the passenger side that's matches with the skid plate. This is on a 2012. Don't know if there is a difference on the 2012 or not. Lucky for me it is just drilling a hole in the crossbar, painting it to cover the raw metal, and installing the bolt. And just the right weekend for it. The in-laws are here so I can use several more hours in the garage. Drilling one hole and adding some paint should be good for at least a couple of hours. I'll call or email Noorthridge and LOD on Monday just to let them know. Not a big deal and it actually helps me out this weekend. Anyone else run into this.

Funny, just finished installing my LoD mid-width and skid plate this afternoon on my 2011 and noticed the exact same thing. I only installed the front bolts so far but will probably do the same, just drill a new hole with easy access for the passenger side.

Hmmm...
My front bumper is due in about Wednesday. Installing on a 2011 2-door. I'll let you know how it goes.

I ordered the new rear bumper with the connection to the tailgate. Any problems with the rear bumper installs?

Is this skid plate you are mentioning that thick metal plate that mounts in the air dam's location?

My JK is a 2007 and I installed the full width LoD. The holes coincided perfectly. Maybe some change in the newer Jeeps?

Do not adjust your televisions, you are not going nuts.

For some reason, Jeep decided to change the bolt holes on the 2010+ Wrangler crashbar compared to the earlier 07-09 models. Most people just drill new holes.

I may still be going nuts, just not for this reason. But it's good to hear that I am not the only one. I hadn't heard about this before and I hoped mine wasn't the only one. Not a tough fix. And the in laws are still here today so I should be able to string it out for a couple of hours. I had cut off my cross bar at one time for a different bumper which didn't work out. I had it re-welded so at first I thought it was on backwards but it wasn't. Thanks

The holes didn't line up on my '08 either. I just drilled new holes on the right side.
