Default Procal - This is odd or is it?

I enabled daytime running lamps (headlights only).

Whenever the turnsignal is activated the headlight on that side goes out, so the Jeep is one eyed.

As soon as the turnsignal is deactivated or self cancels the headlight comes back on.

Is that normal? Seems odd to me.

As silly as it sounds I suspect its a DOT requirement. I've noticed Audi's with the LED DRLs turn off when the turn signal is activated.

Although, I do believe some vag-com codes can fix the Audi's- sucks if there isn't a fix for the jeep.

I'm running the procal on mine and I've never noticed this. Will have to check it out when improving home tonight.

It is standard when using the Procal system. I was told it does that for safety. It is to draw the attention to the blinking turn signal. I get someone every once in a while tell me there is something wrong with my lights. I say thanks and laugh. I don’t think it is good or bad, hell I never see it. If you don’t like it, it is easy to turn off that option.

I've noticed that in the day light with headlights on it's more difficult to notice the blinker. I'd think that the fender markers should definitely be blinkers from the factory also...

I emailed Procal, they replied and said thats the way Chrysler does it. They recommended useing the fog lights as daytime running lights instead of the headlights.
