I have a 2013 with 33's (285/75-16 toyo at 2's ) I used the procal to recalibrate my speedo (both speed and odometer are spot on). I have auto and 3.21's and I have what I consider perfect auto shifting. I have read on forums so many times how the 3.21's and 33" tires suck and are always hunting for the proper gears. I just returned from a 2500 mile trip to Moab and back and was fully loaded down and never had an issue and between here and there are many long hills and elevation gains etc. I drove at least the speed limit or just above (speed limit for the majority of the trip was 75mph and I drove between 75-80mph) and my tranny rarely hunted for gears. It stayed mostly in 5th gear except on the return when I thru Idaho and then into Montana I had a very strong headwind combined with Monita pass. It would shift down to 4th and sometimes to 3rd to maintain 75-80mph. I guess my point is I think it is important to have your speedo calibrated so you get proper shift points.

It shows you where the computer thinks center is by turning on the turn signals. You will be kneeling in front of your jeep turning the turnbuckle on the drag link, and you will see turn signal showing you a direction. Keep turning until both lights are on.

Using just the steering wheel as a guide isn't as accurate.

Wow. My jeep doesnt even sniff 17 mpg. More like 15. Thats with procal recalibration, and never getting my rpm above 2000. I guess some just have better luck.

I would be upset if I only got 15mpg while doing 70-75mph. I just returned from Moab and coming home driving 75-80mph in a stiff head wind I got over 16.5mpg. I get at least 15mpg even when wheeling. Maybe you need to get your rpms up above 2K. My jeep computer is all over the place for mpg and I hand figure every tank. Some times the computer shows less mpg then actual and sometimes more.

I travel 370 mile round trip every week doing 73mph on interstate in central tx. For tge most part its flat, but a steep hills. Its constantly downshifting on these hills. Im hoping a regear from the stock 3.21 will help. Im just trying to decide 4.10 with current tires or 4.56 with 35's?

Lol.....if I'm running anything over about 65 mph, I'm in the 13-14 range. If I keep it at 60 mph or under, I can hit about 16.5...17 if I have a nice tail wind. But then with 37's and 5.13's, I didn't really expect to get Prius fuel mileage. Hence the reason my JK is no longer a daily driver.
