ProComp 2-1/2 or 4inch
Hello everyone, I am new to forums so home I am doing this right. As I am also new to Jeeps so I am really hoping my new 2010 Wrangler 4dr Rubicon was the right choice in a 4 wheel drive vehicle! I am looking into buying a lift here within a couple of weeks and I need a little help... I know I want to go with Pro-Comp because I can get a real good deal on them at a nearby 4 Wheel Drive store. I also know I want Toyo M/T 35/12.5/20 on XD Rockstars. The problem I am having is deciding between the 2 and a half inch lift, which per the store employee will only clear 20x8 rims, or the 4 inch lift which per the employee advised I will need to clear 20x10 inch rims which I like more. The problem is I don't want to lift my jeep to the point where it will feel top end heavy so I am iffy about the 4inch and I hate to say it... but for the time being I will be using the Rubicon moslty on the road. So maintaining the good factory ride is VERY important to me. Please help me decide, any input is appreciated. Also, are the mx6 adjustable shocks worth the extra few hundred dollars since I do want to drive mostly in the city??
PS yes I like the look of the 4inch lift just unsure of the control and stability i will have afterwards.
Again thanks in advance!!!

Most on this board prefer TeraFlex, OME, Rough County but it's your Jeep/money.

Neither. Seriously, Pro Comp makes a decent TRUCK lift, but not such a great JEEP lift. Great deal or not, if your goal is 2.5-4" stick with OME or Teraflex. May be some extra
but well worth it.
BTW, the Pro Comp systems usually employ a funky rear track bar mount that uses an eccentric bolt for adjustment. VERY weak. Their front coils are another story.

I got 3.5"s from the 4" kit it rides very well and is very good off road. I run 35's with no bump stops in the front and have no rubbing. Although I am not a big fan of the fixed lower control arms it is a good lift and flexes on par with other comparable lifts.

Don't pick your lift kit based on the lowest price, it is the foundation of your Jeep.
