Default Program tire size

I'm selling my current wheels and tires 255-75-17 to a guy who has 225-75-16. Does he need to program pinion factor for the small increase in size? Any help is great. Thank you in advance.

Program pinion factor?

If the new tires are taller/shorter than the old tires, the speedometer/odometer/mpg's will be off. A small change in height isn't a big deal. Up to him if/when he wants to recalibrate.

Just ran the numbers, that is a 3" height difference? He will likely want to recalibrate.

I just used a AVE pro-cal to do this, very simple to use and does a bunch of other stuff. Can we had 2nd hand for about $110-120 shipped or new for $160. if you go 2nd hand make sure the jeep it was used on gets reset to factory defaults, or the unit will not work on another jeep at all.
