Default protect your exhaust and cross member

this is for Standard transmission equipped jeeps

drive as quickly as u can to the dealer and pick up these 2 part numbers.
06104444AA 3 x 18mm bolts
52022134AD skid plate transmission

total was 77$ Canadian so in the USA this should be cheaper

this piece bolts in right in front of the exposed exhaust cross over pipe and protects that $600 transmission cross member a bit more as well.

the frame nuts are all ready there.

this piece is stock on auto jeeps to protect the fluid pan.

why why didn't jeep put that on there to begin with

PS this part sits an inch lower than the exhaust and cross member so if ya do skid over something u this piece should grind/compress it down first.

the exhaust runs between the cross member and this new skid, so looking at the photo it runs between the middle bolt and the cross bar the front edge can be cut off to prevent hang ups

also if u have a lift, at extreme flex your front drive shaft may hit the cross bar.

the difference in weight between and auto and standard are close the auto being heavy is probably do to this piece.

enjoy.
not this was fitted on an o7 the idea for the putting the piece on was from an o8.
