Question Protection for Chrome Rims ?

Hi All

Hope it is ok to post this question on this board. It's kinda general. Just wanted to know if anyone has any tricks to protecting chrome wheels from the winter salt and snow ? I know that some will want to say run your stock rims ( and trust me that is all I get from the wife ) but I have my new ones coming in a week and there is no way after seeing the pics in this place that I can wait till spring to put them on.
Playing in Canada so conditions can be rough. Any ideas ???

I am not sure if anything will truely protect chrome wheels while banging them against rocks, but wheel wax will make them easier to clean after you muddy them up. http://www.wheelwax.com/

If they are chrome aluminum wheels, you will have an extremely durable wheel that will last a long time if you rinse the salt off frequently. However, if they are steel chrome-plated wheels, there is no way around it. They rust from the back to the front. Any chip on either side will start the cancer. Good luck.
