Default psc tramp stamp

I installed a psc tramp stamp a few weeks back and its causing a cabin pressure issue and with the havc on its sounds like my wifes Hoover. Do I drill a few added holes or any other simple solutions besides remove the hard top and doors? Lol

Or just chalk it up to "its a jeep thing"

Thanks

All vehicles have vents to keep the cabin pressure from building up inside. Soft tops don't have a problem with this due to they never fully conceal the interior shut from allowing any trapped air to pass through and exit. Sorry. Before you drill anything, take out your drain plugs out underneath the carpeting--the one behind the driver seat and the one behind the passenger seat, and the couple around the bed where the rear passenger seat would normally cover. See if the airflow is better then. If so, keep them out. You'll be fine without them. If the airflow does not improve and is still a nuisance then I would personally take the tramp stamp off, return it and get your money back, and put the vent back until you get a tramp stamp perhaps custom made if you don't find another--with vent holes--that you like.

Good luck!

Default Tramp Stamping and Cabin Airflow

I removed my cabin air vent after I installed a JCR bumper and tire carrier and installed a Desert Snake Offroad Tramp Stamp custom cut in a "retro-Jeep" theme. At first I blocked the airflow figuring a JK was leaky enough not to notice (hardtop installed)...wrongo. The buffeting effect on the ears with the AC was bad, so Plan B. I replaced the solid blockage with two layers of aluminum bug screen spray painted white and the airflow was fine.

I now have the soft top on and I probably wouldn't notice a difference either way. I never thought the airflow would matter, but it indeed does.

Here's two pics of my tailgate Tramp stamp. the first one is with a lucite solid blockage behind the steel Tramp Stamp, the second is with the screen. The screen is hardly noticeable.

Yup. I I have the same thing going on. Blower motor struggles to blow air with the heat on. I'll try the tub plugs. Soft top is going on soon but it sucks in the winter when you have to crack a window to blow heat.

There are other threads that have already discussed this thoroughly. I'd do a quick search and see if they have any solutions.

Turn your heat on full blast, on the defrost setting........ then after 10-20 seconds crack a window.

I have a RR Tailgate ST cover... Didn't like the vents in it so I sealed them up with bondo.. Then it looked too plain so I added a star. I spaced out the cover with 1mm nylon washers between the cover and gate, no probs with hard top on since.

What are you folks doing about water? I have a Desert Snake model also. It has screen behind the lettering. I had to remove the factory vent cover. This area is now open to allow water to get inside the tailgate. Are there drain holes somewhere in the tailgate? Should I drill some?
I get water inside my tailgate whenever I wash it or it rains hard.
