Question Pulled out sopping wet carpet, Now What?

Ok, so I left my rear windows out and we got a HUGE rainstorm. All my carpet got soaking wet and there was about 1/2 inch water under them so I pulled all the carpet out. I am trying to decide whether to put the carpet back in or put something else in or just leave it metal with rubber floor mats in the front. Whats everyones thoughts on non-carpet options including just leaving it metal? I do wheel at least monthly so a non-carpet option in the summer may be a good idea.

I'd leave it out. It's summer time, you don't really need it do you?

I would pull your seats out and have the inside rhino or line-x lined. Looks good and easy to wash out.

I dont have the cash to get rino-liner. I was sort of thinking about just getting some heavy floor mats from Autozone and just throwing them in with no carpet. Anyone try this? Any down sides to this?

Cant remember where i saw it ,but some one makes a rubberized flooring that covers everything the carpet covers, i want it because dog hair seems like it was around 300

I took mine out to pressure wash the stank mildew smell from a leaky soft top. Had every intention of putting it back in. Decided I liked the fact that I now don't have to worry about it. Just get some rubber mats.

Yea I am sort of leaning towards leaving the carpet out in the summer and getting some heavy mats for the driver and passenger front seats. I am worried that the mats will move around. the ones attached to the carpet are nice because they dont move. Would it damage the finish not having the carpet down with a mat?

What would be the effect of lining the large wear parts? Basically leave all of your equipment in, and paint floor mats on. this way it would wear different. I am unsure how this would complicate further lining.

Quadratec makes some good mats. Someone was selling them for fairly cheap a bit ago, I am unsure if they are still in B/S/T.
