Default Pulling hair out please help!!!!!

Ok heres the deal, I have an 08 2 dr with 285/75/16 terra grapplers, I have the daystar 3/4 inch kit with an additional 3/4 spacer up front to level it out. I want a little more height, I was planning to order the RC 2.5 bb which would give me 1" of lift over my current setup. the problem is I keep reading old posts reporting some members have flighty steering and or wandering and some don't, I would at least have to buy adj track bars to recenter the axles, as of right now they are almost centered with my current set up. Some have even reported having to get adj control control arms to correct the flightyness. I don't want to get into spending upwards of $600-700 for an inch of lift. I'm thinking about leaving the suspension where it is and just adding a 1" body lift to get the same 1" for about $125. I'M PULLING MY HAIR OUT TRYING TO DECIDE!!!!!. I used to hate body lifts on my trucks when I was younger so I have a predisposition against them, but I also have a predisposition against wasteing money. And before you say I wouldn't need track bars let me tell you something about myself( I'M A SUPER PICKY BASTARD )so trust me when I say I would need track bars, any more than 1/8" off center would drive me crazy. What do you guys think, am I just crazy,Anyway thanks for taking the time to read my way to long post. I've gotten alot of great info on this forum and greatly respect your opinions.

The trick is getting a ggod grip. Most glues won't work unless you wait for them to dry thoroughly. Try Disposable rubber gloves

Being a picky bastard myself has been expensive over the years. From reading here it seems that most lifts up to 2.5 with less than 35's seem to do ok. any suspension lift is going to change track and wheelbase.

The BL seems like a good option to me. As long as you address the pinch seam ( paint or cover it) since it is kinda ugly (picky bastard issue)

The seam is easy to take care of. Check out my gap elimination write up below. Should only take you about 30 minutes. The BL is going to be the cheapest 1" you can gain that will help you clear larger tires. Also, if you paint the pucks or go with ones that are already black, no one will ever notice.

If you look, you can see the pucks, but no gap above the rear bumper.

I put on a 2.5 teraflex w/shock adapters. I was too cheap to buy 35's, so I settled with 32's and stock wheels and spidertrax 1.5" spacers. I took it to get the alignment checked and put on a new steering stabilizer. I initially had some bump steering and flighting steering. After the alignment and stabilizer no more steering problems. The teraflex kit I installed came with a rear trackbar relocation (drop) bracket. Might be worth a look? All I need now is 35's and beadlocks. Good Luck

Also, the 2.5" teraflex actually gave me about three inches. I also got some excellent service from teraflex when having the steering problems.
