I'm buying a Teraflex 2.5 BB kit today. It came down to this kit or AEV's 2.0 kit. The TF 2.5 BB seems to be more complete for the price. I'm getting the one without shock extensions. I understand my stock shocks will still fit until I replace them later on.
Few questions for folks who have installed this kit;
1. Did you need to recenter steering?
2. Did you need to do an alignment afterwards? ( The install instructions indicate it may be needed)
3. Did you need to buy other parts, use cam bolts or anything else to get alignment right? I'm looking for hidden costs or consequences here.

I'm running 305/70R16 tires now. They are about to be replaced. I intend for this boost to allow me to install 315/75R16 for my next set of tires. My gears are 5:13 already so I'm fine for 35s or even 37s although I never plan to go there ( unless I win the lottery)
Thanks

Congrats on your lift kit purchase.
1. Yes you'll need to re-center steering
2. alignment not really required but recommended. (I didn't do one after I installed a 3.5 inch lift and 35's) I did need one after about 6 months to a year though.
3. No other parts needed but it all depends on what the lift comes with.

315/75/r16 are essentially 35's they actually come out to be 34.6/11.4/r16's

I got front LCA's with my OME 2" lift. You'll want those if you don't like the flighty steering you may get when u lift. They will give you the ability to adjust castor. If u get them do more research on here in regards to the amount of caster you want to run Vs. pinion angle.

1. Yes
2. Yes...see the front end alignment write up on the main page.

3. Need no. However I would recommend eventually adding adjustable track bars to center ur axel and front lower control arms to adjust for caster.
I also would get extended brake lines. The extended brake line brackets that come with the kit can can cause the hard lines to rub along the shock mount and wear through the line.

Well I did the install today. Took me about 2 1/2 hours working by myself. I recentered the steering and took it for a drive. Everything seems good. It does pull to the left a teeny bit so I'll check the alignment soon. My caster angle seems to be about +2.7 on each side at present. I have not checked the toe in, but I'm running the same 33 tires for the last 2 years.
By the way I ended up not getting the TF 2.5 Budget Boost and opted for a simpler 1.75 Daystar lift.
