When I bought my wrangler the previous owner had put on a pure jeep front stubby non-winch bumper...the reason I say it's the nonwinch is because it does not have the recessed mounting pure jeep shows on their website for the winch bumper, but it does appear to have the mounting holes on the top for a winch? The pics I've seen of the nonwinch show a smooth top with no holes, anybody else have on with the mounting holes for a top winch bumper, will I need a winch plate? Is it safe if it wasn't designed for a winch? Any help or input would be great as I will be ready to purchase a winch with my tax return next month
