Default PureJeep cold air intake

Anyone have one of these yet? If so, how do you like it? I am looking into getting a cold air intake but not sure which one I want to go with. Any ideas as to the best one? Thanks for the help.

Don't know. Tryed to order one when WOL did his write up on it. That was several months ago. Tryed ordering from Quadratech, it was backordered, they said the manufacturer was having probs getting some of the brackets They sent me an Airaid for the purejeep price $199 at the time. This was after waiting for almost a month for the purejeep CAI, got the Airaid in 3 days.

How has the airaid been working for you? You notice much of a difference? Are they worth getting?

I'd ordered one from Northridge and waited around 3 months for it before Dave cut me a deal on an AEM BruteForce. I was pretty patient at first but I'd gone through a dry spell without mods and wanted something to work on... so I went with the AEM.

By the way, the wait was by no means the fault of Northridge. Apparently, the PJ CAIs just weren't being built for some reason. I was patient waiting for my PJ bumper but couldn't take it anymore when the intake took so long.

Now, if only PJ would send me the missing bumper decal that they promised months ago...

Am not so sure about a CAI with metal or aluminum intake tubes since the metal would take on the temperature of the surrounding...I went with the AIRAID CAI with a non-metal tube! IT's great!

I like it, goes good with my flowmaster muffler. Definately an increase in power with both the CAI and muffler over stock. I also went to O'Reily's auto parts and ordered a pre filter for the Airaid. It helps against mud splashes. Although I wouldn't trust any deep stuff, I feel alot better about hitting small mudholes now and then.
