Q on FT LIft
Ok, i am getting ready to go adjust my front trackbar, hopefully this won't be as painful as the lift itself. I am going in for alignment on THursday. Is there any other issues i dhould have adressed? They service guy asked me about my caster and i have no idea how or where i would know about this. Does this need to be adjusted or something? Also, to get the latest cpu updates all they ned to do is plug in my VIN and they will see what updates there are for my Jeep correct?
Thanks
Thanks
Just follow my write-up and you should be able to adjust your front track bar without any trouble. As far as alignments go, all you need to do is recenter your steering wheel. This is covered in my write-up as well. Caster cannot be addressed without adjustable upper control arms so that won't be an issue and toe-in will not be changed at all due to the new steering setup on the JK. Need I say, save your money, recenter your steering wheel and axle and you're done
THANKS WOL, your write up was almost perfect.
I went and took measurments and here is what i get. I took two measurments from different spots on each side just to try and be as accurate as possible.
Driver side Passenger Side Difference
#1 19 4/16 19 11/16 7/16
#2 15 2/16 14 12/16 10/16
With those i average about 8-9/16 off.
Now my question is do i want to lengthen or shorten the bar? Prior to install i lengthened it a little less than 1/2" so there is some room either way.
