It helps if the Daystar replacement pieces are heated up a little before the install so they aren't as stiff.

I set mine out on my concrete driveway in the sun for about an hour before I installed a set on my wife's jeep.
X3......but I found it better to use a sharp knife and cut the stock rubber piece off first.....gave me better access to the stock plastic pins that I had to break.

I just used a screw driver and gently pryed the plastic latch till it cracked then pulled it apart. Be careful not to scrath the base attached to the fender or the latch itself.

Daystars on mine. Took about 10 minutes.
Yes the Daystars do come with new bolts, locktite and instructions. My lifting occured with the air dam on. Everytime a semi would go by it looked like the hood was going to take flight.
