Default Question about 2" lift

I have a 2" Superlift that will be in the next day or so. I have a 2dr X with the stock steelies (16") and the smaller 225/75/16 tires. It will probably be about another month or so before i get my tires (long time I know..but doing it piece by piece), so I was wondering how stupid it would look or how bad it would drive if i were to go ahead and install the lift now??? If you've done it...please show pics and tell me how it handled.

I appreciate the feedback!

There is no doubt that it will drive you nuts everytime you look at it with the little tires

You should be fine until you get your tires

I had a 3" lift with 32 in tires and it looked like sh!t but it didn't really handle any different and I had it that way for almost a year.

I have the same small stock X tires which are just over 29". I have a 4" lift kit and other parts sitting in my garage waiting to be installed too. It will probably be a few more weeks before I can get new wheels and tires so I'm holding off on doing any of the work until then.

It would look a little something like this, but this is with a 3" full traction, which gave about 4".This picture always makes me want a glass of milk to go with my doughnuts!

I don't think it would look too bad... 2" isn't that much (depends on how you look at it I guess), but it wouldn't look completely stupid...there's a guy near me with a black 2-door JK with the stock steelies still on it and he has a 3" lift, would look much better with some 33's or 35's but doesn't look retarted. I say do it.

I guess if I just go ahead and do it now, like you did, it'll make me want to order the wheels and tires that much faster!

i would say ditch the 2" and go at leaqst 2.5". that way you can clear 35's i had the stock steeleis and 29" tires but i had everything done at once, and if you get it all done at once you'll apreciate it that much more instead of changing it little by little, just be patient and go all out when you have everything for the lift/ tire / wheels setup.

can you still clear 35's with the 2.5" if you disconnect the sway bar though? that's what is keeping me from going up from 33's.
