I had ordered a set of new Black Diamond Shocks for my Jeep from 4 Wheel Drive, and the front shocks arrived without any metal sleeves for the lower mounts. I just got off the phone with them and was told by their customer service dept. that those shocks don't require the metal sleeves for the lower mounts. For some reason this sounds very odd to me, every aftermarket shock I've ever bought has had those sleeves, why should these be any different? Are they telling the truth or are they trying to blow me off?
