This is probably a dumb question but does anyone know for sure if this mod will void any warranties? I speaking of the mod where the relay wires are spliced into and conected to a swiched ground thus activating the diff locker.
My Rubi is one week old with the unlimited power train warranty and I don't want to over step the rules.

 

in my opinion, i wouldn't do it if you are worried about potentially voiding your warranty.

 

If you modify any system on your JK the dealer will void the warranty for that system. AND IF that specific mod causes any other problem.....as long as the dealer can prove what you did caused the failure than that problem will not be covered either. In other words you honestly can not expect Chrysler to be responsible for anything you change on their vehicle. And for all of us out here on bigger tires read the fine print in your warranty....ANY MODIFICATION which causes the odometer to be incorrect will void the ENTIRE warranty....bigger tires... wrong mileage. Now i KNOW what everyone is going to say... i have never heard of a dealer doing this but it is in their right to do so.
