Default Question about new wheels

Alright if i were to get new wheels for my 08 Rubi would i have to get the exact same size as the stock 17x7.5's or could i put on different size wheels. I really want to get some soft 8s and I'm not sure if i will be able to find 17x7.5s with 5on5 bolts. If so how much can it be off by?

you dont have to get same size,,,just make sure offset is right so you dont rub...i think its supposed to be 4.5. ask your local tire shop............. personally i would run same size, as in diameter. can go as wide as your rig will allow.

Depending on what type of look you're going for you can run 16's with (what should be) no problem the cheap-o X's come with those (I can say that I have a cheap-o X) some people on here are running 15" wheels but depending on what wheel (I can't tell you which ones) they might rub on your brake calipers. Width wise you can run a 7.5 in rim depending on how wide a tire you want to go with. If you're looking at a 12.5 in tire you might and should go with a 8 in rim 13's... maybe a 10 in rim. Like said in above post if you're looking at an aftermarket tires and wheels wider then stock make sure you have correct back spacing, according to WOL's FAQ thread anywhere between 4.5-3.75 inches of BS should be good the more BS you go the more chance you have of rubbing on a wider tire, the less the more the tire is going to stick out past the fender which gives it a lower COG and I think a better look but in many places is illegal. Hope this helps

Im running the pro comp 8179 15x10!! they look awesome. The clear the brake caliper by less than an inch but it will never move so it works great. just fyi. if you decide to ever go bigger tires for 15 inch rims cost less and give you more flotationaka that huge rubber look. Id say 1 17x9 with 3.65 to 4.25 backspacing would giv ea nice wide look. good luck.
