Default Question about rock sliders...

Between the JCRoffroad bolt on classic rails and Acengineering bolt on rails, which would actually be more useful as a step for my vertically challenged wife?

I have no idea about the JCR but the ACE work great for a step(I even put a strip of that skateboard tape on top for extra grip) and with my 4 door the rails allow me easier access to pulling the soft top up it extends nicely back.

Our sliders work great as a step. I have them on my 2013 and the lady and kid use them to climb in!

I have Ace. They work great as a step. Here's how far they stick out.

I have the ACE sliders and the stick out far enough to be used as a step. I got mine cause I wanted to keep my stock rubi rails. I believe that both ACE and JCR are similar in strength so it mostly a personal appearance choice. I do have the JCR Crusader Tire Carrier Bumper and it is the best bumper I have ever owned. It makes no noise while wheeling or on the road.

Default i had ace on my 2011 but returned them due to a bad powdercoat issue

wasn't good they had a greenish hue to them in corners that seemed it wasn't painted properly . but I realy did like them otherwise , they can be a obstacle to get your leg out over unless your jeep has a higher lift down low you realy don't need them as a step so they protrude out and that tends to make it a tad harder getting in and out of the unlifted jks id concider getting another set of the ace in the future if the black powder coat was better than my first set was . ive since then traded the sport and bought a 2012 rubicon so now I have the rails too . here was my sport with them on Click image for larger version

wonder if others noticed that blueish look or was it just one bad set other wise I kind of miss them on there and id concider maybe getting another set

I have ACE and they work fine as a step for both me and my wife. I'm 260. Nice and sturdy and look good also

Thanks for all the feedback, and nice jeeps all around! I especially like Hair's. Dig that color!

I prefer the turned up look of the jcr sliders but it seems that ace will make for the better step.

With the JCR's you get the best of both worlds, imho...
