Default Question about tires?

Is that beaded stuff they put in tires to remount and balance crap? Or is that something prefer in there? I heard it's mainly for semis but they do it for 35s and above.

I've read mixed reviews. I've read of a lot of problems with the powdered balancing compounds. If you use air instead of nitrogen and moisture gets into the tire it will clump up and not work.
