Clearly I missed the point of this one and re-reading my post, it sounds preachy. You're going to feel pull regardless. I agree with 4W though, a skinnier tire with better channeling will mitigate the effect to some degree.

why multiply by 4 =-o ok tread depth ty

Take 4 tires at 10" wide, you're displacing effectively 40" of water (width of path). Now take 4 tires 12.5" wide and you're displacing a path of 50". That's a 20% change with no change in weight to compensate.

also seems like the space in between the tread would be another factor. and most other m/ts have closer lugs than the km2 it seems to me. but ofc thats not another measurement either haha. but a tread depth of 20/32 is talking about a fraction of an inch i assume? or is it something entirely different

The weight should be a little higher as a taller wider tire will probably weigh more

The weight of the tire will not effect the pulling sensation the OP is talking about.

Yes a fraction of an inch. And I know what you mean, I refer to it as positive surface area of the lugs vs. negative area (where there is no lug). The more negative area will help reduce the pulling sensation but will also reduce the life of the tire and many handling characteristics.

Just look for a narrow tire in the height you want.
