Default Question on CAI

Hi!

I ordered the Volant Snorkle and CAI set. Until the time comes that I do the Snorkle instal, would there be any drawbacks to installing the CAI only, without the lid?

Here's a link to the diagrams:

This one is for the CAI only. With the snorkle, the lid has a hole on the top which the snorkle covers with the hood down. My worries are that if I install the CAI with the "holed" lid (and not the snorkle at the same time), it may be too close to the hood and thus restrict airflow. Was thinking of putting on the CAI without the lid until I get a bodyshop to make the hole on the hood.

Of course, I can wait to to everything at once...

Spoken like a true Jeeper!!!

Anyways I went ahead and did the instal. Nice sound after hitting 2,500 RPM's. I figure once I get the snorkel installed and connected,, sound may go down a bit, No different sound befoere 2,500 RPM's.

Thank you for serving our Country...
