Default Question for JKS front trackbar users

I purchase a JKS front trackbar and the instructions say the jam nut is to be tightened with a 1-7/16 open ended wrench. I took the jam nut and drove all around town looking for a wrench with no success. I ended up special ordering one from sears for $30. I got it today and it doesnt fit the jam nut (its too small).

Has this size worked for anyone else or are you all using a crescent or what.

I called JKS but the "tech" is out till monday.

I like u did the same thing! I actually ordered the wrong size one from harbor and now it is my home security tool..
I used a pipe wrench since I didn't have a cresent. Make it as tight as u can and that's it..

Exactly. They have them at Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply and other tool outlets if you call around.

I wouldn't use a pipe wrench on anything other than a pipe. Brutal.

well good to know when I call JKS back on monday to speak to the tech. It would be nice if the can update the specs they are sending to match the products. I just bought a 15" crescent that opens to 1-3/4 so im good now

x2...why would you go out and buy a wrench you will only use on the trackbar 1 maybe 2 times? buy an adjustable if you dont already have one large enough. They're good for all kinds of stuff.

heres my reasoning

1 in general i dont like adjustable wreches
2 if i plan on retorqueing my suspension after my jeep comes off the trail, then i would automatically retighten that jam nut also.
