A friend of mine was telling me to go with a 3" lift rather than a 4" because you would have to make other modifications to my jeep, i was wondering if this is true and if so, what other modifications would i have to make

 

I did not have to make any mod to get the 4" on my x 4dr maybe new shafts for a 2dr

 

Yeah, new shafts for the 2dr. Or do 3" susp, 1" BL if you really want a 4".

 

I have a 2dr Rubi on order, and want to go 4". Do I need 2 drive shafts, or 1? If so, where do I get them?

I have the RE 4.5 long arm on my Unlimited with factory driveshafts with no problems so far, knock on wood. The guys at Burnsville Offroad told me they've been running this lift on JKs with Hemi conversions with no other mods and factory shafts with no problems. Give them a call.
