Default question: Solid Locking hubs

what is the point in investing in the locking hubs? is this the same as installing a locker ....someone explain what a locking hub does!

What a locking hub does is allows your wheels to spin freely, and esentially disconects the hubs from the axles. This allows for your front driveshaft and differential to not spin when you are only in 2wd. This saves some wear on your drivetrain, and also saves some gas.
