Questions on backspacing
Ok so I want to get some 17x9 black rock steel wheels but the ones I want are only currently in stock in a 5 in backspacing and not 4.5 with 37's will this be an issue?

That depends on a few factors you have failed to mention. What lift? Factory flares? Width of tire?
As it pertains to my lift, It was designed around a 17x9 wheel with 4.5 B.S. and 37" tires.
If I were to run a 5' B.S. wheel I would have rubbing issues with at least the sway bar links.
To get a better answer you should include more info.
BTW I like that wheel. See............................................... ......

I just installed the Teraflex 2.5 BB on my '07 Sahara Unlimited. It still has the stock wheels and slightly larger tires. I will need new tires soon and I am looking for a good wheel/tire package (not excited about buying 18" tires and need more space - only have 3/4"or 5/8" space between tires and sway bars)...
Any recommendations?
What backspacing do I need?
Thanks in advance.

with a wide tire (12.5 or 13.5 +) i would recomend that you go with a 4 or 3.5 bs. the farther out the better for a tighter turning radius. i def would not do a 5 bs even if it was just a 12.5 tire. you will need to check your laws in your state as well. some states do not allow you to have tires out past the fenders like pa for example. this might require different flares or a different bs all together depending on what you can do legally. the width of your rim will play some factor in how far they stick out as well.
i run a 3.5 bs with a 17x9.5 rim and have ben very happy with the looks as well as performance. it does throw some mud and water towards you though. here in indiana i have no problems with the law and my tires stick out past the psc fenders by about 2 inches. good luck

I have a 4.5 in BDS suspension lift and I rub my front lower control arms with 4.5 in of backspacing. I am going to go with less backspacing to hopefully solve the problem. Take some measurements and do it right.
