Default Questions for build

I'm looking to put either 34" MTRs or 35" Mud Terrains on my 07 Rubicon unlimited (currently stock except for winch/bumper). Lifts I am looking at are the Rubicon Express 3.5 super flex and the Full Traction 3 Ultimate. My question is this, will the 3" Ultimate require a new drive shaft to accomodate the automatic transmission? Also, will the stock wheels accommodate a 35x12.5 as long as I use spacers? Also, any thoughts on kits are appreciated.

Specifically for the full traction kit, what are the differences in the available shocks? It appears that the up-front cost of the FT kit is higher, but add-ons for the RE kit like a new drive shaft will make it considerably more money and time getting it up and running.

Thanks,
Derek

both kits are good, both come with bilstein shocks and, being that you have an auto, you will want to get a new aftermarket front driveshaft with them. the biggest difference between the two kits is that the FT kit comes with adjustable lower control arms and RE does not. new adjustable lower arms will allow you to reposition your axles to where they need to be after lifting your jeep but, it's not critical.

truth be told, the only bushing failures i know of from RE is on their long arm kits and this is due to its radius arm design. to the best of my knowledge, the superflex kit has not had any problems with bushing failures but then, i only know a handful of people with this kit. the FT kit had been plagued with bushing failures in the past but, to the best of my knowledge, this issue has been resolved. i do know FT has been testing out bonded rubber bushings to replace the poly bushing they were using and if you are seriously thinking about this kit, i would make an inquirie about them as they would be what i would recommend.

Does Quadratec still do price matching? I found the FT kit for a few hundred less, and will probably go with them. Also, any recommendations on which front shaft to go with? I have mainly looked at JE Reel, but I see that RE also has one on the market.

Thanks for the input up to now, I was previously unaware of the issues with the bushings, and will definitely talk to FT to find out how they have addressed it.

When you call them talk with steve and ask about the driveshafts they offer to go with the kits, might save you some cash.

While your talking with him see if you can upgrade to the spherical bushings (not the same bushings that come with the short arm kit), that's what's in my long arm are in my awesome, they flex really well and are easy to maintain.
