Default Questions on upgrading to 2.5 lift

I am extremely new to this jeep thing, but I have been looking at a 2.5 lift to put on my 2007 Jeep JKU but I am not sure if just installing the lift kit is all thats needed to do. Is there anything else that is needed to be modified for my jeep to be ready to ride?

Lift Kits I have been looking at are
2.5in Suspension Lift Kit (Coils) for 07-14 Jeep JK Wrangler Unlimited | Rough Country Suspension Systems
or
Teraflex 1251000 - TeraFlex 2.5" Lift Kit with Shocks for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

This is my 14' JKU with a 2.5" Teraflex lift with Fox shocks! I also got 35" Goodyear Duratracs on there, no complaints!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz-R5E-NPQg Here's how to install it! Now if you reuse your stock wheels, you will need 1.25" wheelspacers front and rear. Or if you have new wheels, then get some with 4.5" of backspacing. Your really do not "need" anything else to run this kit. If you have questions, feel free to call us.

Why would you need spacers to run a small lift? Just asking so I know. I installed rubicon springs and shocks on my sport and did not get spacers. Will I need them?

Because bigger tires are generally added with the lift. Since the new tires will be taller/wider than stock, they are much more likely to rub inside the wheel well. To help keep the rubbing to a minimum, you buy new rims with less backspace to move the new tires further out, or you add wheel spacers to move the stock rims and new tires further out.
