Default A quick coil spacer Question

I've been trying to find a thread with an answer to my question, but can't seem to find one that addresses it directly.

I am about to put a winch on the front of my X and would like to run coil spacers to even it out. It is my DD and I won't be lifiting much just yet. The winch will be to bail me out of stuff that I probably shouldn't have been on in the first place.
I've considered two different configurations and would love to know how they will work. First, I'm looking at just the Teraflex 1" coil spacers in the front, and nothing in the back. Second, I'm looking at the Rubicon Express 1.75" spacers in the front and the Teraflex 1" spacers in the back. What I'd like to know is at what point do the spacers get tall enough that I need to start looking at purchasing more than just the individual spacer? If 1.75" is too much to just run spacers and nothing else, but I can do this with 1", then I will stick with that. I don't want to dump too much money into it as this is a temporary deal and I'll probably be stepping up to full suspension lift in a year or so. I just need something to level it out, and maybe add some space in the wheel well at the same time, as long as it won't damage anything or negatively affect performance in the meantime. Thanks.

Just one 3/4" front coil spacer is all you need to level out from any bumper sag. I installed a winch, front bumper, and a front skid plate and 3/4" is all I needed.

I actually ended up stacking two 3/4" spacers for each coil in the front thinking I needed more....I didn't. Now I'm riding high in the front. To get it back to normal, I am installing an additional single pair of 3/4" spacers in the rear which will correct my riding high in the front problem and leave me with a measured approx 1" lift overall.

If all you want to do is level her out from the added weight, a single 3/4" spacer pair in the front is all you need.

And I personally used the Skyjacker 3/4" Front Coil Spacers

Actually Brett, the set-up that you are going to go with sounds a lot like what I'm looking for. I wouldn't mind getting a touch of extra height if I can. What I'm most curious about is if I'll NEED shock relocation brackets with a 1.75 inch spacer in the front. I'm not worried about getting additional performance out of the suspension for now, but I don't want to diminish it or damage it at all.

I have an LoD front w/ winch and LoD rear bumper. I lost about an inch with the front and added 2 3/4" spacers to level it out. I then lost an inch in the back with the rear bumper. I am planning on getting pretty soon to balance the thing out.

The 1" increase is small enough that it doesn't really affect anything. When you get to 2" and up you may want some relocation brackets or anything to go along with it. But a 1" lift? You don't have anything to worry about.

Robar,
When you do the FT spacer kit, will you be doing new shocks or shock relocation brackets, or will you just bolt it on to the stock suspension and run it?

I have a set of Rubi shocks that I was going to exchange for my X shocks and I have been thinking about the shock extensions, but I haven't decided yet. A lot of people are running this with stock shocks and no problem, but you the stock shocks may prevent your axle from full flex without an extension.

Do you plan to run the Rubi shocks with the X springs, or are you going to swap springs as well? I have some rubi shocks and springs and don't know if I should swap them all out or if I can get away with just the shocks. Since Jeep did so many different spring set-ups, I'd like the best combination of ride and performance that I can get.
Last question... If you go with shock extensions, which ones, and which one of the boards sponsors carries them?
Thanks a bunch!

I will keep my X springs as they are the only ones I have. If I go with the shock adapters I will most likely get the TeraFlex. I am sure that Northbridge4x4 will be able to fix me up with whatever I need.
