Quick Control arm question
I fi have a 2 door but dont have the cash to lay down for a whole set and have a 3 inch lift should i jsut get front lowers and rear uppers for now? And my lift is actualy about 2 3/4 its not a full 3 inches. I heard front lowers for handling and rear uppers for the stock driveshaft ona 2 door. Thanks
I went ahead and ordered a complete set of Currie uppers and lowers for the front and rear for a couple reasons:
1. David at Northridge has numerous in stock and he is cutting some sweet deals on them!
2. By installing all of them now, when I want to go taller, which we all will at some point, all I will need is larger coils. Spend more money now, less later.
3. Currie's, with Johnny Joints in both ends are supposed to be the best out there, with a proven service life of over 100K miles.
4. Aftermarket control arms just look cool!
Im planning on doing the same thing, ordering the control arms with the double johnny joints. I am only running the rough country 2.5 inch progressive coils.
I had a YJ with coils up front and I had welded in the johnny joints on both ends of my control arms, and i ended up having a ton of flex, it just flopped around like a slinky. it was awesome. johnny joints are definitely the way to go, they are a pain to assemble with a press, but once they are put together they are amazing!!!
